Red Hot Chili Peppers were on the verge of breaking up when they decided to bring back John Frusciante, who was still on the mend following his debilitating battle with drug addiction. The return created a healthy morale within the band and lead to 1999’s “Californication” - one of RHCP’s most successful albums that contained introspective yet anthemic progressive rock hits like “Scar Tissue” and “Otherside”... But how has this album aged over the course of 20 years?

That’s what Matt and Zach discuss in Epic Footnote Productions’ “2 Minutes to Review,” a podcast that’s part album review and part competition. In each episode, both hosts are given two minutes each to review a newly released album, a recent reissue, or a record they’re revisiting after years of going unlistened. Whoever gives the longest review in under two minutes wins.
